Start Your Rhodes Excursion at Seven Springs Valley

Embark on an exciting full-day adventure with one of the best Rhodes excursions. Follow a scenic route along the Loutanis River to your first destination: the captivating Seven Springs Valley.

Nature nestles this picturesque oasis in a fragrant pine forest. It features cascading waters, shaded trails, and elegant peacocks, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere. As you stroll along the pathways, breathe in the scent of pine and listen to the soothing sound of rustling leaves.

Take a leisurely stroll, cross the famous water tunnel, or simply soak in the natural beauty of this hidden gem. This stunning setting is perfect for photography. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture the vibrant colors and peaceful landscapes.

Explore the Historic Byzantine Chapel of Fountoukli

Continuing inland through serene villages, visit Fountoukli, home to the 15th-century Byzantine Chapel of St. Nicholas. This charming chapel features beautifully preserved frescoes that showcase the religious art of the period. Admire its rare decorations and peaceful surroundings, offering a glimpse into Rhodes’ rich religious heritage.

Take a moment to reflect while surrounded by a serene atmosphere that has inspired numerous pilgrims over the centuries. Feel the spirituality of the place as you absorb the stunning views across the valleys. The chapel remains a testament to the island’s deep historical roots.

Ascend Mount Prophet Elias for Stunning Views

Subsequently, proceed to the 700-meter summit of Mount Prophet Elias. A verdant canopy of cypress and cedar trees creates a breathtaking mountain retreat. The drive up the winding roads offers panoramic views, setting the stage for a spectacular experience.

At the top, discover Elafos, a charming Tyrol-style lodge, offering a tranquil setting for relaxation. Take in spectacular panoramic views and experience the refreshing mountain air before continuing your journey. Feel free to enjoy a snack or coffee on the terrace, allowing you to absorb the natural beauty surrounding you.

Wine Tasting in Embonas: Rhodes’ Winemaking Epicenter

Your excursion takes you to Embonas, the heart of Rhodes’ winemaking tradition. This charming traditional village is home to some of the island’s most esteemed wineries. The journey to Embonas is scenic, with rolling hills and vineyards lining the roads.

Enjoy a wine-tasting experience, sampling high-quality local wines, including Athiri and Mandilaria varieties. Learn about centuries-old winemaking techniques while savoring the authentic flavors of Rhodes. Knowledgeable guides will share insights about the different grape varietals and the importance of local wine production.

Pair the wines with traditional appetizers, such as olives and cheese, for a full gastronomic experience. The warm kindness of the locals adds a personal touch, making this a truly memorable stop on your Rhodes tour.

Visit the Majestic Medieval Castle of Kritinia

A winding descent road leads you to the imposing Medieval Castle of Kritinia. This majestic 14th century fortress sits on a hilltop overlooking the Aegean Sea. From here, you’ll get stunning panoramic views of the rugged west coast and surrounding islets.

As you explore the imposing walls and ruins, you’ll step back in time and experience the history that shaped this region. Capture breathtaking photos of this historical landmark. Imagine the battles fought and the stories that unfolded within these walls.

Conclude the Day with Flavors by the Sea

End your Rhodes excursion with a delicious lunch at a seaside restaurant. Indulge in fresh Greek cuisine while enjoying the serene coastal ambiance. Dishes like moussaka, fresh fish, and local salads await you. Allow the sea breeze to refresh your senses as you savor every bite.

Take the time to reflect on your day while listening to the gentle waves lapping against the shore. Share your experiences with fellow travelers and plan your next adventure as the sun sets on the horizon.

Perfect Rhodes Day Trip Mike was amazing. He provided a top of the line experience. He was knowledgeable and took us to all of the iconic spots in Rhodes. His car was very clean and smelled nice. He knew the most picture perfect spots and he helped take pictures for us. We used him instead of the excursion from the Royal ship we came on and he was waiting at the gate for us with a sign that had my name on it. It was 100% worth it and I would recommend using Mike to anyone looking for the perfect day trip of Rhodes!

Amazing experience with Giannis We had the best service and experience with Giannis on this tour. Despite it starting out as a rainy day, it was perfect from pick up at the cruise port to the time we were dropped off. Giannis did an outstanding job showing us around this lovely island and customizing our experience. The pace was exactly what we needed, especially traveling with my mom who is in her 80s. Bravo for a memorable experience. Thank you!

A great tour of Rhodes and Lindos We had a great tour of Rhodes, Lindos and the coast and countryside in between. We met Michael Vasilas at the Rhodes cruise port, and he said that one of his specialties is showing his native island to cruisers. Michael was very knowledgeable about the sights, culture and history of Rhodes dating from prehistoric times to the present day So do hire Mike if you want a comprehensive, personable, pleasant, ageable, and informative time in Rhodes. Thank your, Mike, for a fun and terrific tour, and may this upcoming tourist season be a smashing success.

Perfect day in Rhodes My teenage daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our day with Mike. He is very knowledgeable, funny, intuitive, and the master of his field. He was born and raised in the Old Town of Rhodes, and described her and the rest of the sites we saw with great reverence and respect. We could not help but feel the same way about Rhodes as he helped us see this beautiful island through his eyes.We were exhausted from back-to-back days of tours of ruins and islands before we arrived in Rhodes, so Mike sorted out an itinerary that helped us learn about the the city, the island, its history, and people without walking for hours on our already abused feet and legs! He was so flexible with the itinerary and we were very grateful. We made several stops of must-see scapes for photo ops. By showing us these scapes and describing the places across the water in all directions, we were able to understand why Rhodes was such a desirable place for invaders for two millennia. While we did not climb the 285 steps to the top of Lindos, we do feel like we learned a lot about it and its surrounds. The Anthony Quinn Bay stop was an interesting interlude. I will let him tell you all about it.Mike took us to a beautiful place in the woods at Seven Springs for lunch. The service was wonderful and the menu was full of local foods. I would highly recommend taking Mike's suggestions about where to eat and where to shop - especially if your teenage daughter is with you!In all, I would say Mike is tied with other our favorite guide (from our trip in Egypt). The moment you meet him you will feel comfortable, safe, and on a private journey. Thanks, Mike! We hope our paths cross again!

Relaxing day in Rhodes on private tour I booked this tour on line. Mike was responsive answering all my questions. On the day of the tour, one of the couples was sick/had a cold snd could not go. Mike kindly adjusted the price and then offered to give us an hour walking tour later in the day if we felt up to it. What wonderful customer service! We had a 9:39 pick up - our guide Tasos was there with a sign at 9:20. The couple that went said "It was very nice and Tasos was fantastic. We had a very nice and relaxing day for a change! " They saw all the sites as promised.in tbd Best of Rhodes Tour. Mercedes sedan as promised was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend this company, would use again,

Outstanding tour of Rhodes and Lindos. Highly recommend! From the moment our ship docked, it was a great experience. We literally walked right off the cruise ship and our tour driver and vehicle we’re right there. We barely had to walk 20 feet. Billy was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We felt like we were touring with a friend. We saw all the highlights and he listened to what we wanted to see. I love seeing a lot of the local spots, stopping at an olive oil plant and an orange grove. We were able to see all of the beaches and beauty of the island in a short period of time. Unfortunately we did not get to do old town as it was raining at the end of the tour and we chose not to. I could highly recommend this tour and our driver Billy! One of the best tours of our 28 day trip

If you want to tour Rhodes, book Mike for a memorable experience! We visited Rhodes for the first time and were especially excited as the Medieval city was on our list of sites to see. Mike is a fabulous tour guide. He drove us all over Rhodes, showing us the medieval city, the churches/cross with the gorgeous view of Rhodes, Lindos and the beautiful beaches. Mike is very knowledgeable as we drove through various sites and stopped to take photos throughout the day. It was so peacefully quiet in the early morning when we began our tour, it felt as if Rhodes was ours to explore without waiting.Mike took us to a wonderful olive farm and shop where we sampled several oils and other treats. Our lunch was at a local family-owned restaurant that overlooked a resort-town beach and calm waters. The Greek food was authentic and delicious! We spent 2 1/2 weeks traveling to England, Scotland, Turkey and Greece. After our tour with Mike, it was clear that Rhodes was our favorite island in Greece.
